यदि आप जी-मेल में होने वाले 25 MB के फाइल अटेचमेंट से खुश नहीं है तो यह खबर आपको सुकून देगी। गूगल ने घोषणा की है कि जी-मेल में अब गूगल ड्राइव की मदद से मेल के जरिए 10GB तक का डाटा ट्रांस्फर किया जा सकता है। 

गूगल ड्राइव की मदद से पहले से करीब 400 गुनी बड़ी फाइल भेजी जा सकेगी। इसके साथ ही आपके द्वारा भेजी गई मेल क्लाउड में सेव रहेगी, आप उस मेल को कभी भी एक्सेस कर सकते है। गूगल के प्रोडक्ट मैनेजर फिल शार्प ने एक ब्लॉग पोस्ट में लिखा कि जी-मेल डबल चेक से यह भी देखेगा कि जहां पर मेल भेजी गई है, वहां पहुंची भी है या नहीं। यानी जिस व्यक्ति को मेल भेजी है वह उसे एक्सेस कर पा रहा है या नहीं।

जब कभी आप गूगल ड्राइव की मदद से मेल भेजेंगे तो यह मेल सभी के साथ शेयर नहीं होगी। अगर आप चाहते हैं कि आपके द्वारा भेजी गई मेल सभी के साथ शेयर हो तो आप जी-मेल को लॉग आउट किए बिना सेंटिंग में जाकर चेंज कर सकते हैं। गूगल का यह फीचर कुछ ही दिनों में शुरु हो जाएगा। इसको उपयोग में लाने के लिए यूजर्स को अपने ई-मेल में ड्राइव आइकन पर सलेक्ट करना होगा। 

उम्मीद की जा रही है कि जी-मेल के इस ऑप्‍शन को ई-मेल के साथ ही जोड़कर दिया जाएगा। यानी कम्पोज मेल पर ही यूजर को गूगल ड्राइव का ऑप्‍श्‍ान मिलेगा, यह मेल गूगल ड्राइव के जरिए ही भेजी जाएगी न कि जी-मेल के जरिए। कम्पोज मेल में जाने पर मौजूदा समय पर जहां पर यूजर को अटैच फाइल का ऑप्‍शन मिलता है, ठीक उसी बार में 'इनसर्ट फाइल यूजिंग ड्राइव' का भी ऑप्‍शन मिलेगा, जिसकी सहायता से आप हैवी फाइल को ट्रांसफर कर सकते हैं।

How to Format a PC

Note: This guide is strictly for PCs, not Macs, and is geared toward PCs with the Windows XP operating system. It may work or be helpful with other versions of Windows, but is not guaranteed to.

1. Make sure you have all the necessary CDs to restore your system. DO NOT format your hard drive if you do not have these discs.

2. “Back Up” your personal files (e.g. My Documents folder). All files will be lost once your hard drive is formatted. You will need to reload any files from your back up disc that you want on your newly formatted computer.

3. Put your operating system installation CD (Windows XP) into your CD-Rom drive.

4. Restart your computer and rapidly press F2 to get to the boot priority screen.

5. Use the arrow keys to move to the “Boot” tab.

6. Set first boot device to the CD-Rom drive with the Windows XP CD in it.

7. Save and Exit (F10, I think)

8. When prompted, quickly press any key to boot from the CD.

9. Wait while it loads…

10. Hit ENTER to set up Windows.

11. Continue installing…

12. Press “D” to delete the main partition.

13. Confirm delete.

14. Yes to set up Windows XP on new partition.

15. Press ENTER to format the partition.

16. Wait while it formats the hard drive (takes about 30 minutes or more).

17. The rest of the Windows installation process should start automatically, be easy to follow, and self-explanatory.






2nd technique
Follow these steps exactly:
Start computer. At the beep sound, or just before windows starts, tap which ever key (F1 thru F12 or esc) your computer requires you to hit in order to go into your BIOS. You may have to do this several times before you discover which key it is. Don't worry if you accidently hit the wrong key, nothing devastating will happen. If you inadvertenly start up in Safe Mode, simply exit windows and restart and use a different key. Once you are in your BIOS, use the arrow keys to arrow over to the tab that list your Boot Sequence. Change the order to: First - CD ROM, Second - Hard Drive, Third - Floppy. (Before Windows XP came out, if you wanted to reformat your computer, you had to select your floppy to boot first.) Ok, after you change your boot order, exit your BIOS making sure to choose Exit and SAVE changes. Allow your computer to start. Put your XP cd in the cd rom and shut down your computer. Restart the computer. Now, your screen should be black and a message will read, "To boot from cd, hit any key", do it. I hit enter. Windows will run like a system check and then it will give you an option of repairing an existing copy of XP, installing another copy of XP, or deleting a copy of XP. Choose to delete. It will go thru all the typical warnings of how you will no longer have access to files, that everything will be deleted etc. Go for it. After it deletes the old, it will then tell you that your computer is without an Operating System and it will ask you if you'd like to install a copy of XP. Click yes. The rest is pretty basic. Just follow the instructions on the screen. Choose not to partician if asked and install on a NTFS not a FAT or FAT32. Why? Because it's better, trust me. If you have any problems, email me. I'll check it more often than usual over the next few days just in case. Good Luck. When your done, go back into your BIOS and change back your boot order, although you don't HAVE to.

Shutdown in 3 Just Seconds

Ever wanted to rename your recycle bin? Who wouldn't?
Well, it's pretty simple, the bare bones of it are just typing in commands to the registry.
Ok, what you do is, copy this information (in bold) to notepad or something similar. (Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Notepad).

Change Software Location

1.CHANGE THE DEFAULT LOCATION FOR INSTALLING APPS
As the size of hardrives increase, more people are using partitions to seperate and store groups of files.

XP uses the C:\Program Files directory as the default base directory into which new programs are installed. However, you can change the default installation drive and/ or directory by using a Registry hack.

Run the Registry Editor (regedit)and go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Look for the value named ProgramFilesDir. by default,this value will be C:\Program Files. Edit the value to any valid drive or folder and XP will use that new location as the default installation directory for new programs.

A Faster Start Menu

I see no reason for there to be any delay when I click on the Start Menu. Effects are pretty, but I wouldn’t click on it if I didn’t have business inside, so lets get it open and get moving. The default speed can be adjusted with a quick registry entry.

The default value is 400. Set it to 0 and the delay is gone, but it will be nearly impossible to move the mouse fast enough not to activate [All Programs] if you mouse over it in route to your final selection. It's easy to train yourself to move the pointer to the right after clicking Start to avoid activating All Programs. Pick a number that suits your style and make the change, then test it until you find a good compromise between speed and usability.
